1. it's pretentious and stuffy, and not at all interesting. if i knew how, or cared to spend the time figuring out how, i'd pull all of it down. don't read it, or look at it. i'm not making statements, i'm full of shit.
2. don't ever read atlas shrugged. read a synopsis on the central theme. the book is a thousand plus pages of total crap. hemmingway said he wrote 99 pages of crap to one page of worth-while reading. he tried to keep the good stuff and lose the crap. ayn rand keeps the crap, and i suspect doesn't even write the good stuff. the synopsis will tell you everything you need to know about the theme, which itself is brilliant and continuously relevant. the book is crap. ayn rand does nothing more then romanticize philosophy into a state where everything is clear cut yes or no. all her characters are one sided and stereotypical. she herself was probly a lesbian with a fetish for masochism. her views on women were severely repressed, the characters being either petty, vain bimbo's or big chested beautiful businesswomen, who's main past time seem to be sleeping around and taking the fall for everyone else. ayn rand is a silly bitch and her philosophy is nothing more then a rehash of rationalism and capitalism. suck cock ayn rand.
3. deviantart is almost total crap because it is a visual medium. a picture might say a thousand words (or at least ten) but 9 times outta ten, people are too dumb to understand the words. it's like listening to music in another language. yeah, you might get the feeling or the tone, but your probly totally wrong anyway. the fact that people on deviantart don't take the time to actually read something written and posted (other then the total crap about some loser's kittens in the sun) speaks less about deviantart and more about the brainless scum sucking the talent out of this world. but deviantart has to take some crap because it enables brainless scum to post their shit for free.
today's word is crap. feel free to shovel it in your mouth cause it's coming at you from all sides. most of you even think it's good stuff.

my favorite place in the whole world (that i've seen so far) is a neighborhood in Toronto called the Annex, especially at night in the summer, because your still downtown, and there's always the hum of life, but around midnight and later everything gets painted a warm yellow from the street lights, and there's almost no one around. it's incredibly peaceful and serene. it's best if your just coming out of a movie or play, and you have to walk, or it doesn't have the effect at all.
When I went to Romania, it was February and still snowing. A guy friend and I were walking around the city late at night. There was no one around and the streets were illuminated by old-fashioned streetlamps. Light spilled over onto the doorsteps of beautiful gothic churches and intricate iron-wrought gates. It was absolutely beautiful.
